Important notice

Disclaimer & no-guarantee notice

We would rather be trusted than oversold. This page states plainly what Bitaps can and cannot promise, so nobody engages us on the strength of an expectation we never gave.

Last updated 24 August 2026

01No guarantee of recovery

We do not guarantee that stolen or stranded assets will be recovered, frozen, traced to a named person, or returned in any amount or timeframe. Outcomes depend on how fast the incident was reported, where the funds travelled, whether the receiving service cooperates, and decisions made by exchanges, courts and authorities. Any figure, timeline or probability we discuss is an estimate based on the facts available at that moment.

02Nature of forensic findings

Blockchain analysis relies on public ledger data combined with attribution datasets and heuristics. Attribution can be incomplete, outdated or contested, and clustering is inference rather than proof. Our reports distinguish observed on-chain facts from analytical conclusions and state confidence accordingly. They are investigative products, not judicial determinations.

03Not legal, financial or tax advice

Content on this website, including service descriptions and educational material, is general information. It is not legal, investment, accounting or tax advice, and it does not create a client relationship. Where an engagement includes legal consultation, the terms of that advice are set out in the relevant engagement letter with the professional providing it.

04Website content

We take care with what we publish, but this site is provided as-is. Prices, methods, network behaviour and the wider regulatory landscape change quickly, and we do not warrant that every page is complete or current at the moment you read it.

05Third parties and external links

We are not responsible for the acts, omissions or availability of exchanges, custodians, bridges, block explorers, courts or authorities involved in a matter, nor for the content of any external site we link to. A link is not an endorsement.

06Beware of second-round scams

People who have already lost crypto are aggressively targeted by fake “recovery experts” who demand up-front payments, promise guaranteed results, or ask for seed phrases and wallet access. We never do any of those things. Verify every contact against the channels published on this site: cases@bitaps.co, support@bitaps.co and WhatsApp +44 7441 929224.

07Testimonials and case examples

Where we describe past work, details are generalised to protect client confidentiality and ongoing proceedings. Previous outcomes are not an indication of what your matter will achieve.

08Relationship to our other terms

This notice sits alongside our terms of service and privacy policy. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud or wilful misconduct. Questions: support@bitaps.co.
